On the Active Rock Chart (Sort of)

Back in November of last year, my version of “She’s Not There” charted at 438 on MediaBase’s Active Rock Chart for one day. Queensryche’s “Redemption” was only at 501. MediaBase’s charts are published in USA Today as well as other places. Usually charts are published weekly and only the top 100 (or 40) are listed. I wasn’t on the published chart because I was too far down the list and only managed to stay on it for one day. Still, it’s kind of neat that I managed to get on there at all. :)

Those of you who are subscribed to my newsletter already knew about that. What you didn’t know is that it happened again! On February 4, 2014 my recording of “She’s Not There” was ranked at 594. The Foo Fighters “Arlandria” was ranked at 603 on the same chart. Woot! :)

Two More Stations Play Huetensil!

That brings my latest release to 35 confirmed stations!

For those of you who get my newsletter, you already know that I stopped promoting my latest songs to radio back in mid-November. However, I expect/hope :) that a few more will continue to trickle in.

Last night, Norma Jean featured Huetensil, along with several other bands, on her show “The Crazy Train.” The show airs on Thursday evenings at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on The Red Eye Radio Network.

Also, Sonic Pirate is adding Huetensil to their rotation starting in January.

I’ve added links to the top of the column at the right that will take you to where you can buy my recordings of “Voulez-Vous” and “She’s Not There.” If you like ‘em, go get ‘em! :)

New Huetensil Single Released Today!

I’ve just finished work on my latest single which was a fun little project for me. I’m making it available for free from my BandCamp web-page. It features two songs which my Grandfather wrote in the 1930′s. ”Singin’ on the Levy” and “Or Isn’t this a Dream.” I gave the first a bit of a Queen twist!

You can check them out below. To download the songs you will need to provide a valid e-mail address and postal code which will be added to the Strange Hues mailing list. Enjoy!

Thanks for listening!
